Backyard Land Yacht - Sleep on a bus!

I've not yet had the opportunity to stay here, so the best I can do is steal information and reviews from their AirBnb page.

Basically, it's a school bus but the entire inside was taken out and renovated into a fancy RV style thing. Looks cozy. It has wifi, free parking, heating, air conditioning, and even a kitchen and bathroom.

From their site:

"Wall-to-wall wood panelling with a full kitchen, bathroom, shower, dining space, and bed for two. Air conditioning in front and back in the summer, propane heating in the winter. Bathroom has flushing toilet and large sink. The ceiling is about 6'1" at its apex and may be uncomfortable for tall people--that like to stand a lot..... Private access through side gate of property into the backyard, where you'll share the yard with chickens and occasionally a poodle."

From the reviews:

"The bed was also much more comfy than I expected it to be...... The toilet area has a curtain rather than a door and the shower is quite tiny, so this is ideal for either a solo traveler, or someone you feel very close to. We loved the chickens. They came right up to us and 'talked' to us."

"Ben's bus was awesome. Super comfortable, clean, and fun to make a temporary home for myself in. It was HOT while I was there and the AC cooled it down no problem. Great neighborhood in Austin and really convenient for anything you want to do on the near North end of town. I loved it and would definitely stay again."

"Benjamin’s bus is super cute and Benjamin is a nice fella. The location is great, Cherrywood is a very central neighborhood. Not only are there many places within a mile but it’s also super easy to get to and from other neighborhoods. While it’s not loaded with amenities the bus does have most of what you need for a short stay; a fridge and freezer, a stove top and pans, AC’s and fans that keep it cool in the hot weather, hot water for showers, and a French press for morning coffee. The hens on the property are a fun addition. They’re cute and curious, very friendly, and in no way loud or annoying. In fact we found the entire property to be quiet and relaxing. Our only notable cons were that we struggled a bit with the odors in and around the bus emanating from the septic system and we found the bed to be a bit back-breaking. But given our stay was only for 2 nights and we were out and about most of the time it wasn’t a huge deal."

"The bus was perfect! Beautiful interior design, comfortable bed and very clean."

"Just because it’s a bus doesn’t mean it was lacking in anything. The place has everything that any house would have: running water, warm shower, dining area, refrigerator. I stayed on a relatively cold weekend and it didn’t get too cool inside. I would stay here again. Parking is on the street."

"Everything was exactly as described, I've read the reviews and we had zero bugs, mattress was super comfy and zero leaks.... The location is perfect, ten minutes from everything."

"They had a pamphlet on the inside that answered any questions you could have. Their pictures accurately show what the place is like and there were no unwelcome surprises. Check in and out were super straightforward and easy..."

"The bus is complete with a full functioning kitchen, restroom and shower. Great water pressure and hot water, no problems whatsoever."

"The only difficulties we encountered were cooking (the space is pretty tight to practically make a dinner) and after the first day you could smell the toilet holding tank."

"The best part was the host, Ben. He greeted us, gave us a tour, suggested places to visit and to eat, and to top it off, he visited with us that evening as we swapped stories back and forth. He was extremely friendly and took time to chit chat with us every time we saw him."

"The bus was clean and stocked with everything we needed - including some great books. The bathroom accommodations were better than expected. But the piece de resistance was the backyard - a Texas Eden, quiet and wonderful, with biblically big aloe plants"

"Benjamin was a great host! He met us on the first day on time and even left eggs from his chickens in the fridge for us!"

"He even had a few beers ready in the fridge! Definitely recommend this place!"
